Korea Electric Vehicles
Korea start to develop the zero emission vehicles from Seoul Olympic on 1988. Fossil fuel vehicle continue to occur much air pollution. By government will be more and more made to tight the environment rule against vehicle.
In 1991, Hyundai Motor Company launched Sonata EV that originally designed production passenger car.
Ministry of Environment make the schedule distribute Hybrid vehicle at public organization in 2004 and buy 350 Hybrid vehicle.

Fuel Cell Vehicles
Fuel cell vehicles feature higher fuel efficiency than hybrid electric vehicles, the fuel supply convenience of gasoline vehicles, and the quietness similar to that electric vehicles. With the use of hydrogen as fuel, they do not produce any exhaust emissions. Fuel cell technology was first used to provide spaceships with a power source and astronauts with the water they needed to survive in outer space. When fuel cell technology advances in terms of price, performance and safety so that such a system can be mounted on vehicles, the system will also be applied to vessels, buildings, small-scale power plants, submarines and low-noise vehicles, and mobile communications. If the industrialization of the 20th century can be characterized by the development of the internal-combustion engine, the 21st century will be called the age of fuel cells.

Hybrid Vehicles
By making up for the weaknesses of internal-combustion and electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles can both reduce exhaust emissions and improve fuel consumption and power performance. The power transmission system of a hybrid electric vehicle features the integration of the driving parts including the engine and motor. The motor mounted on a hybrid electric car performs the roles of both engine assister and generator at the same time and can charge the car battery without an outside charger when the car is running or braking. The hybrid electric vehicle operates in various driving modes depending on driving conditions to save energy and reduce exhaust emissions, thus realizes higher fuel economy, more efficient driving, and a higher level of quietness and comfort than existing internal-combustion engine vehicles.

Electric Vehicles
From the 1990s, All country have given more and more attention to the development of electric vehicles and have actively pursued the technologies needed to make them for environment. Korea automaker has also made enormous investments in the research and development of electric vehicles beginning with the development of the Sonata electric car in 1991 by Hyundai motor company. Currently, the Santa Fe electric vehicle enables the car to travel 160km per one-time charge, a battery controller, a driving motor, a charger mounted on the controller, a direct current converter, etc. The electrical energy stored in the battery supplies the power source to the running motor through the motor controller, thus driving the wheels of the vehicle. When speed is reduced, the recovered energy is stored in the battery, realizing a highly efficient cycling of energy.
